UNA USA Dane County Examines the Subject of Human Trafficking

The Dane County chapter of the United Nations Association of the USA commemorated the 66th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations at its October 23, 2011 luncheon with a focus on human trafficking. Carla M. Bury, Multilateral Affairs Coordinator in the State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons presented the keynote address US Engagement with the UN to Combat Human Trafficking.
 UNA-USA Dane County also presented its Global Citizen Award to Lisa Fernandez, an orthopedic nurse at UW Hospital, for her work with the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Wheelchair Project.
