Human Trafficking in Wisconsin

The Capital Times published an article titled Human Trafficking in Wisconsin on Sunday, August 7, 2011. A companion story ran on the 10:00 pm newscast on WISC-TV.

The pieces highlight the story of Middleton-native and trafficking survivor Laura (not her real name) who was sexually trafficked by a man she met on State Street in Madison. The stories also draw attention to the challenges in enforcing Wisonsin's anti-human trafficking law.

Thanks to the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism and David Douglas of WISC-TV for helping to bring the issue of human trafficking in Wisconsin to light.
